Ad for this product shows bottle with spray nozzle. Bought 3 bottles of this great product specifically for the small spray nozzle, to get the right amount of product in the needed area. When items were received, however, they all have a pour/squirt nozzle instead and dispense too much product at once. Wouldn't have been so bad if there was a separate spray nozzle in the box to switch to, but there was not.

One of my favorite reels. I lost the other one and replaced it right away

I bought this for a trip to the Outer Banks, but to be honest I've been nervous because of all the reviews about the rod snapping. I used it for surf casting nearly every day, sometimes twice a day while in NC and it performed great. I caught roughly 40 fish and the rod was fine. I really love the reel, though a 6000 was overkill for what I was fishing for. The reel was smooth, with no quirks. There was plenty of drag and bail action was great. I didn't catch anything that would overly challenge the rod, but for surf casting and catching Mullet, Spot and Mackerel it was perfect. Also, the price I paid for the combo was roughly the price of the reel by itself, so i'm not that worried if I have to replace the rod at some point. UPDATE: I bought a smaller 300 combo for freshwater and so far so good. The reel is fantastic and no major problems with the rod. That set was more expensive, but it wasn't much more than the reel itself, so again, if the rod breaks down the line, replacing it isn't the end of the world. UPDATE 2: Caught a bunch of good-sized blue gills and a largemouth that weighed a few lbs today. No issue at all with the freshwater rod. Reel was smooth on the retrieve using crankbaits. UPDATE 3: I’m up to close to 100 fish on the 6000 and so far no issues with the rod. I caught several good sized sand sharks in Cape May and a large Skate at Sandy Hook and brought both in with no trouble. I still wouldn’t say I’ve overly challenged the rod but it is definitely holding up to constant use.

I have purchased this rod and reel combo . The item was delivered in a few days in a well packaged tube box. I opened the package and checked it out. I then took it to my second home on the coast. I was fishing for an hour and caught a 12" stingray which as soon as he broke water, So did the tip. I had to go back to the house and grab anothe rpole. I been fishing for 30 years and never had a pole tip break while catching a fish. i did slam the door on a pole but that was my fault. this sucker just snapped. In disgust, i took pictures and left the pole at the house which is 300 miles away. I decided to call Penn and see if they can warranty it as its only a few weeks old and used once. i am not chaep but its the principal. I submitted 2 pictures to Penn where you can see the tip missing which is obvious and they called it " marginally visible." This is a 12 megapixel camera. When you blow it up, you can see the individual windings for each eye.. They also wanted the reel model # which even blown up is fuzzy but you can tell it starts with btl and ends in 4000. . penn states they need this to complete warranty. I dont have an issue with the reel, just the rod. I just dont think that customer service from PENN is worth anything. They have lost my business forever. I own several other Penn products but it was bought in a different time and a different era . I would not recommend anything from PENN as there are other companies out there.

This reel broke while I was reeling in on a calm river with three ounces of weight. I haven't even taken this reel out ten times yet and it failed so easily. Penn should send a replacement or at least refund me so I can get something that works.

I ordered the 4oz spray to maintain my new Penn Squall 20lw reel and rod combo thinking the spray bottle would be quick and easy for wipe downs after use. What I received was a flip top applicator but it is full and technically has the same product inside so I won't bother sending it back.

It’s seem like the bottle was used a lot of liquid is missing

I guess the word on the dock is true, Penn reels are not what they used to be. Bought this reel from a local tackle store middle of last year because I wanted to upgrade my old Penn Fierce 5000. Fished this reel about 10 offshore trips then finished for the season. Went to fish on my first trip this year, after about an hour of fishing I flipped the bail down and the reel just fell apart. Ive treated all my older Penn reels exactly the same as this one, never dropping or abusing them. These made in china castings are just thin and cheaply made now. Customer service was no help either. I was told if I didn't have the receipt there would be no warranty credit. Maybe I am spoiled with other brands going above and beyond with their warranties and customer service, but it seems that Penn will only do the bare minimum. Lots of other brands i've had to deal with like Yeti and Costa have been more than willing to be flexible. It also seems i am not alone in noticing this, lots of charter Capts I know have ditched Penn for other brands.

Out of the box I was impressed with the stout rod & big heavy reel which would undoubtedly allow me to haul monsters from the depths. Unfortunately after placing the reel onto the rod I realized the reel & line guides were not all aligned and there is a good 10 degree offset to the 1st line guide. This one shouldn't have made it through quality at the factory. Submitted claim to Penn rather than returning to pennoutlet.com. If it turns into more of a hassle I'll just return to Amz The reel appears to be A-OK so 2 stars

Product came packaged well no scratches or dings. Overall very satisfied seems to work properly highly recommend this product to anyone looking to buy a higher end reel.

The XXS Fit my Penn Fathom 25NLD and Penn Fathom 40NLD2 Perfect.

Arrived just in time for Christmas, Reel looks great can’t wait to put it to the test.

The heavy 80-200 6' Rod is perfect for Halibut, Rockfish, Lingcod and all of the other Alaska fish you can think of. It quickly became my favorite and most fun offshore rod. Pair this with a 8500 Reel, 80lb braid and you're ready to go. Completely worth the purchase

The Penn Senator is renowned for its powerful performance over decades. When I acquired this brand new one, the assembly process was a breeze. It boasts a very traditional look, and I was genuinely excited to take it out for some fishing. The reel's weight is substantial, making it suitable for trolling and targeting large game fish. Initially, the gear cranked smoothly for about half a day, and I had some successful catches during my first long-range deep-sea fishing trip. However, to my surprise, it suddenly became impossible to crank in the middle of the fishing trip. A deckhand explained that it might be due to an issue with the interior gear. I couldn't help but think, "Dude, it's a brand new reel. How could it be like this?" This experience left me quite disappointed regarding its durability. I'm unsure whether this problem is unique to this particular Penn reel or if it applies to all Penn Senator 115 size reels. Now I'm rather hesitant about using the Penn Senator for future fishing trips, as the reel malfunction wasted valuable fishing time.

Shipping was absolutely unacceptable!!! Shipping this rod in a plastic sleeve , and not in a box is ridiculous!! Then just in an extremely lazy attempt, simply placed it halfway on my steps!!! UPS sucked and so did Penn, the supplier on this one!!! See picture below!! Irate!!
