Live liner works great for live bait fishing.

Good for bottom fishing, Carolina rigging with 1oz weights, or casting a tandem rig with 1/4 oz jig head or live shrimp under a heavy cork.Not good for casting lighter baits like a single 1/4 oz jig head with a three inch paddle tail. Back lash ever time.

Penn cane through as always. I really like their stuff! Reel is nice and smooth. You wont be disappointed. I saw a review said the pawl would move on his. Well he didnt try to tighten the drag..... these reels are coming broke its called user error!

This is one fine offshore boat rod with 9 eyes and a lot of backbone. It feels excellent in your hands, and is a joy to fish with. Mine is paired with a Penn Battle III 8000, spooled with 80lb braid. I put it to the test this year, bottom fishing off the coast of South Carolina in an avg. depth of 100 ft. It performed flawlessly. Now I know why they named it Carnage. Catch em up!
