Plenty of crank power. Bought for crab snaring. Easily brings in multiple crab on an 8oz snare.

Worked great! Nice long casts. But I still can't catch a fish if my life depended on it.

This is a great reel, didn't even know the stripper I caught was as big as he was. This reel along with braid and 25 mono gold leader. Effortless. You can destroy fish with this reel. Can't wait to get off shore with this bad boy!

I own 13 Penn rods and reels and I am very pleased with them. That being said, this particular one is not one of them. I purchased this rod 4 times and every time I received it, at least one of the guides was significantly off centered. After the last time, I reached out to Penn to see if there was anything that they would/could do because I really wanted this rod. I was instructed to fill out a warranty claim so I did. Never received a response. Reached out to Penn several times and they never returned my calls or responded to my emails. Very poor customer service. I’ve spent a lot of my hard earned money on their products and they clearly have no appreciation for their customers.
