I own 13 Penn rods and reels and I am very pleased with them. That being said, this particular one is not one of them. I purchased this rod 4 times and every time I received it, at least one of the guides was significantly off centered. After the last time, I reached out to Penn to see if there was anything that they would/could do because I really wanted this rod. I was instructed to fill out a warranty claim so I did. Never received a response. Reached out to Penn several times and they never returned my calls or responded to my emails. Very poor customer service. I’ve spent a lot of my hard earned money on their products and they clearly have no appreciation for their customers.

　先立って購入したSlammerⅣの5500で質感および使用感が良かったのでピニオンギア、メインギアが真鍮からステンレスになったという、この4500DXを買い足しました。
　5500と比べてボディの大きさがかなりコンパクトなので，この重量差はなるほどと思った次第です。それに伴いハンドルノブの経も写真の通り大きさに違いがあります。握った感触は良好です。
　付属のスペアノブの形状が3500、4500サイズはフィラーノブという、指でつまみやすい形状（5500以上に採用のラウンド型ではない）なのでご注意（写真参照）。
　表記通りPE2.5号がきっちり300m巻けました。pennoutlet.comで購入しましたが正規の代理店ピュアフィッシングジャパンの保証書が添付されていました。この点は安心ですね。
　空巻きした限りではとてもスムーズで軽快です。よほどのハズレ個体というのも無いのではないでしょうか。丈夫で長持ちするリールだと思います。

I was a little weary when purchasing this, but it's legit. Came with everything and was exactly as advertised. Used it to catch a few bonito so far. Let a friend try it on the boat and he ordered one from a local tackle shop. Paid more and it was the same product.
