I have a few penn reels but i like the way this one spins. Its a little heavy but all penn reels are heavy. For the money you cant ask for a reel that is sealed and has a very smooth spin.

I have bought several of these reels over the years in various sizes and all of them still work perfectly. Good price too. They operate smoothly with strong smooth drag and the are also light weight. Will buy again. they make good gifts for my buddies too.

Shipped in a flimsy box and arrived damaged. Product itself is great, but ordering from pennoutlet.com isn't a great idea considering how it's sent.

Absolute piece of garbage don’t waste your money. I thought Penn was a good brand you should spend the extra couple of dollars to upgrade. This thing crapped out on me my second trip out the gear stripped out while trying to bring in a fish, the spool would not raise and lower, when reeling it in making it very difficult to reel in evenly its great if you’re using it on sunfish or bluegill anything past that you’re wasting your time and money

Rod wasn't great, reel wouldn't wind. Returned.
