This is a great reel, although it is much bigger than I thought or needed. It shipped very quickly and works perfect. This thing is a beast!

Penn Fierce II 2500 Spinning Fishing Reel
So far so good. I will return and give more information after having this product in use for a while. I like the size, as I have several other reels that are just too big for general opportunities of the fish available and those reels will be used for bigger fish. This reel I will to use on the water from shore and my Kayak. I really like it for it's price, smoothness and the feel of a quality product. My last reel was returned after receiving it, as it was just wobbly when I handled it and I just knew it would probably fail after some use. Not this one! The handle, the bail the spool when felt with a little force held in place and indicated good design and craftsmen ship. I like it and will begin to use the hell out of it.

I haven't used this yet but after getting it and looking it all over I'm glad I bought it. Really looks like a quality rod and reel and I'm excited to get line on it and onto the water to check it out.
