Like many of the other reviews will tell you, this thing is not shipped to arrive intact, it was shipped in a clear plastic bag that was mostly coming off. Mine arrived with one bent guide, which I fixed, I call that lucky compared to some.

As the combo itself goes, it is very nice. I always liked Penn as a kid, and I'm getting back into fishing with my daughter and I needed something with a little more power than my old, ragged saltwater spinning setup. You can cast with it, to a point. This one may not be the best for it, you can at least get it out a little ways. I have it spooled with 50lb braid and end with 50lb mono leader.

this is a very smooth reel cast well and the liveliner was better then my shimano for 55 bucks

Great reel, delivered on time. Though taking a couple of days to despatch it (presumably to try to make me buy Prime) is a bit sad. If it genuinely took all week to get to me because of slow post thats one thing, but holding it back so it appeared to take 5 days when actually it took three from despatch to arival....a bit mealy mouthed?

Oh my god this is my dream rod, this fishing rod is excellent for casting baits into the sea behind the waves and beyond that all you need is to put on a high-spin machine, an X8 braid line and wear finger gloves for strong casting and no injury, strong and of high quality not suitable for casting with artificial baits because the rod without the fishing machine exceeds a kilogram

They advertise a large tub of grease and you get a bottle the size of a baby's finger. Stay away from this company.
