I am a newbie when it comes to sea fishing and have no idea what is good or bad quality. But one thing I do know is the first real I bought for 25 quid fell to pieces within six months so I thought I needed to do some research. After asking a lot of questions to other fisherman I discovered there were two or three brands which ranked higher than all the rest so then I had to try and do some narrowing down. Eventually I decided on this model and I only chose the 8000 because that's what I had before. I must say I am delighted with the smooth running and operation of this beautiful real and have filled it right to the top with good quality braid and went straight out to fish with it to see if I could break it in. It took me three visits to catch my first fish on this lovely piece of equipment and to my amazement it was more so my first ever seabass weighing 6 1/2 pounds. So the bottom line is I really love this real and to make sure I stayed loyal to the brand. I also bought a rod.

Rods and reels have never looked so clean. They are like new now! Cant wait to get out tomorrow!

Unfortunetly I will not get a chance to play with this reel for awhile because it's a gift. From what I read it is a very sturdy and bulldog of a reel. If you google Top reels for shark fishing this makes everyone's list. Can't for Christmas to see my dad open this gift!

SUPフィッシングに用いてます。
Slammer 4 4500を使っており、非常に気に入ってます。
今回Slammer 4 DX 3500を買い足しました。
ギアがステンレス製に変更された事によるネガティブな要素はなく、かっちりとした巻き心地が気に入ってます。
SUPフィッシングではリールが海水に浸かってしまったり、パドルで叩いてしまったり、岸際でSUPごとひっくり返ってしまう事もありますが、Slammerなら使用後の水洗いだけで機能を維持できており、安心感があります。
単純かつよく考えられた構造なので、メンテナンスが容易な点も、良いです。

ドラグも滑り出しや収まり方が非常にスムーズで、これだけでも買う価値があります。

国産最新機種を空巻きしたところ、巻き始めは確かに国産最新機種の方が軽かったです。
だからといって釣りの場面で実害がないので、気にしてません。
