I field tested these reels yesterday. Yes, I have two of them. One on a 15' surf rod and the other on a 10 footer. They cast great which is why I purchased them. They are the Penn Conflict II LC 8000 and I was surprised how light they are for the size. They lay down the line so tight and have improved my cast about 20 yards at least. I have not caught anything but Pompano yet so i will let you know how they handle bigger fish. Also do not know how they will hold out but I am taking care of them as the composite materials will break easier than aluminum. When spooling I noticed that the first one loaded front heavy and so when spooling the second I removed the plastic adjustment washer and it loaded perfectly.

Great quality product. I bought 6500 it feels a bit heavy but nevertheless great looking reel. Smoooooooth

Not had a chance to use this yet. Reel came through as expected and the silver and black makes it look high end.
