Great reel for pier fishing. Took some practice to re-learn how to cast it, but a true classic!

I'm a lover of Penn Rods and Reels and have been using them for years. You may think a Penn is expensive but one of my go to Penn rod and reels, that has seen hundreds of hours in salt water, is almost 20 years old and is still going strong. My wife used my battle 4000 and loved it so much she asked for one. When I saw this one in pink, for her of course, I had to get it for her. Can't wait to get it in the water and make some good memories.

I got this combo deal awhile back and wanted to thoroughly try it before leaving a review. Honestly, when I first got it, it seemed light and cheap, but over the years using this reel, its been amazing. I have caught tons of rockfish and also pulled up a tuna with it. If they are ever on sale again, I definitely will get another one.
