I brought slammer 4 - 4500 HS….
Spooned it Japanese 45lb X8 braid managed to get roughly 350 meter which is amazing… low dia braid….
Went fishing with it today…… and it crushed everything from a small shark, snapper, catfish, golden travelly and the best one a large kingfish…. All on slow jigging…. I also own a slammer 4 - 6500 and that is also a beast… but if you what a all round reel that you might what to cast, jig, bottom bait, maybe live bait….. without it being too heavy but still have power and plenty line capacity and also Bomb proof then the 4500 is the ticket…….my is the HIgh Speed and boy the reeling in was so easy.

So I wrote a review on Penn Squall ii 50lw. I loved it. So I bought one more 50lw and I bought (2) Squall ii 30lw reels. Then I bought the neoprene covers to protect them. So…the size you need for the squall ii 40lw and 50lw is the medium cover. Perfect fit. The size you need for the squall ii 20lw and 30lw is small. Again…perfect fit! Anything else, I would encourage you to look at size chart. Very good quality covers hands down. Order up boys and go hook some lip.👍

Received the rod October 29th in a flimsy package and stored with my other rods. Went fishing yesterday (01/12/2025), so I took the rod out of the package and found the eye tip was bent and line protector was gone. This is my fault for not checking on the pole condition.
