I LOVE this combo. I’ve had it for about 6 months now and it’s taken a beating but still performs every time. It’s nice and light So i tend to hold it more often than not. I use it mostly for reef fishing targeting big mangrove snappers, mutton and grouper. I’ve landed 8’ bull sharks without a problem. I have mine set up with a 50lb braid and most often run a 80-100lb flouro. leader. I can’t recommend this rod enough. It’s easy to work with and it’s light in the eyes too.

Reel seems good however the end guide on the rod was missing the ceramic insert and not aligned with the other guides. It will need to be replaced or repaired. Already spooled up the reel and didn’t notice the guide until the first day I went fishing with it otherwise I would return.
