   I’m a lover of Penn Rods and Reels and have been using them for years. You may think a Penn is expensive but one of my go to Penn rod and reels, that has seen hundreds of hours in salt water, is almost 20 years old and is still going strong. My wife used my battle 4000 and loved it so much she asked for one. When I saw this one in pink, for her of course, I had to get it for her. Can’t wait to get it in the water and make some good memories.

   I had the 4000 modle for years and broke the rod on a huge striper. I had put an ugly stick on it but it never was perfect for me after that. I decided to upgrade to the 6000 med heavy and am so glad I did! It’s the perfect weight/ length for basic saltwater fishing. The reel is nice and smooth. Definitely recommended for a smaller woman like myself!

   Great pole but I only know that because I’ve owned one before! pennoutlet.com should maybe put fragile on the box. Pretty upset that a $130 one peice pole came in, in 3 pieces!

    This is the 2nd penn rod and reel combo I’ve ordered on pennoutlet.com and I don’t know who packages these things but they’re NOT supposed to bend the guide eyelets on the rod upward when they ship. It ruins them and makes them susceptible to loosening. The first one I ordered was a Penn Pursuit LE and it came with an eyelet completely broken off. So I returned it & they replaced it no problem with a new one that was perfect. Have had no problems with it since. Then I just ordered this Penn Passion and it came with all the guides bent upward and one guide toward the middle of the rod was super loose wiggling back & forth. I will be putting this to the text this weekend see how it holds up while I fish but might be returning for a replacement. pennoutlet.com please do not do this anymore with fishing rods! Especially for the money we pay for them

    This pole is perfect for me living on Maui. Mostly whipping but can be used for some light dunking too. The subtle tones of pink are just what I was looking for. I cast this first but my five year old caught the first fish 🐠

    rod arrived broken and no reel. 7 ft box was half open and crushed in the middle .suppose to be a combo. so double disappointed as it is a xmas gift for my wife. had to go back and make sure to read description in case i made a mistake before posting and yes suppose to be combo. hopefully enough time for replacement.
